Our Story
Founded in 2012 by Trish Humphrys, Local Hearing Aid Specialists was born from a passion to provide high-quality, client-focused hearing care to the Newcastle community.
After working in the hearing industry for over two decades, Trish saw that people wanted genuine support, not quick sales. She opened the clinic with a clear goal: to offer tailored hearing solutions in a warm and welcoming environment. That vision still drives our team today.
We are proud to support local groups including Rotary Men’s Shed, the Wallsend TPI Veterans Association, and the Wallsend Business Association. Supporting our community is at the heart of what we do.

Trish Humphrys
Owner & Senior Audiometrist
Trish is an accredited Senior Audiometrist with over 25 years of experience and a member of the Australian College of Audiology. She is known for her compassionate approach and her dedication to finding the right hearing solutions for every client.
Ellie
Practice Manager
Ellie has been with us since 2017. With a Cert III in Business Administration and annual training in hearing device repairs, she oversees operations and ensures every client receives exceptional service.

Receptionist
Karlie is the friendly face at our front desk, bringing warmth and professionalism to every client interaction.
